I have waited anxiously to introduce non-disposable diapers into your wardrobe line-up, feeling guilty with every diaper change that I was contributing to our waste problem and buying into the ease of our throw-away mentality. We tried non-disposables on you when we first brought you home, but you were pooping six and seven times a day and most times it would shoot up to your shoulder blades. You have pretty predictable movements now, and they are of a more manageable consistency, so we are slowly phasing in the G diaper. It’s a bit of a cross between a disposable and a cloth diaper, with an insert that is designed to be flushed, since hey, we, as a culture, flush poop and toilet paper anyway. Once the inserts are gone, I think I will fill the cover with cloth inserts and see how we go. Whew, I feel better already.
