last few days
July 31, 2008Daddy was out of town again, and while that does present some challenges—I feel like a single Mom and Daddy misses you something terrible—it also provides an opportunity to stay with Mammy and Papa, and they love it! You played in the kiddie pool, went out to dinner, went shopping at Publix and Costco, and was loved to death for the last few days. Photo proof of some of your recent antics follow:
You confidently one-hand your bottle now. You are still trying to get the hang of the sippy cup. You use it as it is titled: you sip it and can never seem to stay entertained enough to get in more than an ounce or so. Fair enough; you are being true to its naming convention!
You lo-hu-hoved the sample of the nutty buddy ice cream cone at Costco. You made a mess, but neither Mammy nor I dared take it away from you!
Lazing half out of the pool… It is exhausting being one.
I have changed your schedule so that you have a bottle and breakfast right when you get up. You usually have cereal and some kind of fruit, then snack on eggs and bagel and other “adult food” with us. At Mammy’s you had fresh watermelon. Lunch follows at 11:30 or so right before your one nap of the day. Some days it feels like I literally feed you nonstop.
I LOVE the fact that you are eating in three out of the four pictures of you….you might have a little of your aunt jates in you after all!! The best is you hangin’ at the pool…..what a sweet, sweet boy! You are so loved!
